Student Voice Council’s World Cup Fundraiser Scores Big: Sausage Sizzle and Fun Activities Raise Funds for School Improvements

The Student Voice Council’s 2026 World Cup event was a vibrant, sun-drenched success that brought the whole school together. With colourful banners, spirited music, and enthusiastic crowds, the event created a lively, community-focused atmosphere that pulsed with excitement from start to finish.

A Festive Atmosphere A sizzling sausage sizzle became the heart of the day, filling the air with the irresistible aroma of grilled favourites. Students and a few staff lined up patiently for some delicious food.

Funds for Facilities and Future Impact Generous ticket sales, donations, and proceeds from the sausage sizzle and the event day,  raised a meaningful sum. These funds will be used to improve school facilities, directly benefiting classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. The Student Voice Council’s transparent plan for allocating funds inspired confidence and gratitude across the community.

Looking Ahead Buoyed by this success, the Student Voice Council pledged to continue planning engaging events and fundraising for worthy causes throughout the school and the wider community. Their energetic leadership and thoughtful organisation signal more creative, impactful initiatives ahead.

The 2026 World Cup event not only celebrated sport and culture but also showcased student leadership, community spirit, and a shared commitment to improving the school, proving that when we come together, great things can happen.

The STUDENT VOICE HOUSE REFORM COMMITTEE is deep in its planning of an upcoming morning of fun and healthy competition for all Year 7 and 8 students. Each student house will be battling for the ultimate prize of winning the upcoming Volleyball and Trivia Tournament.
