Middle School Report
Nathan Ough
As Term 1 ends, we reflect on the many achievements and memorable moments that have defined the past few months. Our Year 8 and Year 9 students have shown remarkable academic and personal growth. Here are some highlights from this term:
Swimming and Athletic Success
Our Year 8 and Year 9 students have excelled in both swimming and athletics this term. Participation from our Middle School Students was pleasing and many jumped into extra events when needed. Well done to all those athletes who went on to represent Monivae at district and regional levels. There have been some outstanding performances.
Live4Life Induction Day
This year, our Year 8 students will participate in the Live4Life program focusing on mental health awareness and the Teen Mental Health First Aid course. We have three Year 9 students (Sophie, Zoe and Heidi) representing Monivae as part of the Live4Life 2025 Crew, and they will assist with the planning and delivering of activities for our Year 8 group. A Live4Life Launch event in conjunction with other Southern Grampians schools will be taking place in late April
Academic Achievements
As we move into the next term, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Thank you to all the students, parents, and staff for your ongoing support and commitment. Have a restful and enjoyable break and a happy Easter period, and we look forward to seeing you all in Term 2!
