World Environment Day at CPS

Everyone at Carnegie had a blast on World Environment Day!

World Environment Day is marked on the 5th of June and this day is for us to care for our planet. In CPS everyone tried to bring nude food (food that is not wrapped in foil or plastic) for their lunches on this day.

Lots of people also wore green, as green represents our environment. Students were encouraged not to buy new green clothes and just wear old ones to reduce the burden on landfills. In classrooms, there were fun activities to build awareness about the environment.

Finally, at the end of the day we all had a session of picking up rubbish in different areas and then putting it in the bin to care for our lovely environment.

This day was truly an enjoyable experience for everyone at CPS and we surely hope that we can have an even better experience next year.
