School Councilor Profiles😊

Esther

Hello, my name is Esther Gyorki. My husband Sam and I are relatively new to the Carnegie Primary community with our daughter Evie in Grade 1. We look forward to a long association though as our son Keegan will begin Prep in 2028.

We've lived in Carnegie for 10 years and love it here and now especially love seeing CPS families out and about as we enjoy all the fun (and delicious) places around!

I'm passionate about building community which is one of the main reasons I wanted to join the school council. I love connecting with people and sharing ideas and then helping make them happen!

When I'm not hanging out at CPS, I work in the arts sector as an exhibitions curator so I hope to bring some creativity to the council as well as project management skills. Say hello if you see me, I'm always keen for a chat about the school and the community!

Kelly

Hi I’m Kelly and I’m a new member of school council this year. I’ve previously been involved with the PFA, most notably with the organisation of last year’s colour run. I’m also a committee member at the Caulfield Bears Junior Football club. I enjoy helping in the community, in particular helping to ensure the youngest members of our community have access to a multitude of opportunities that help them to thrive.

What I also really enjoy about getting involved in the community is meeting all of the other people who do so much great work in our local area. We are very lucky to have such a great community of people here in Carnegie!

I have lived in Carnegie for 8 years now.  I live with my husband Anthony, our son Liam who is in Grade 4 this year and we also have a dog and a cat.  Our dog Harvey is very popular at school and he just loves all of the attention he gets at the Graceburn gates.

Something else about me, I absolutely love to travel. I think I might be part Gypsie/Nomad and I get very restless if we don’t have a big holiday planned. I was born in the UK although I have lived in Australia since I was 10 years old, but I do go back and visit family and friends as often as possible.

I really look forward to meeting more and more people in my new role as school councillor and celebrating many achievements for our school, it’s students and our community.
