Year One Fun has Begun

This week Year One has started exploring Information Reports. By exploring animals, the students are learning lots of facts that can be included in their writing.

The students have also been learning about what is a Fact and what is an Opinion. This is a conversation you can continue having with them at home.

• Fact: "This apple is red." 

• Opinion: "Green apples taste better than red apples."

   

• Fact: "Dogs have four legs." 

• Opinion: "Dogs are the cutest pets in the world."

   

• Fact: "There are 7 days in a week."
• Opinion: "Saturday is the best day of the week."
