Flying High in Year Five

Visit to St Bede's College

On Wednesday of the final week of Term Two, the Year Five students were invited to attend a Come and Try Day at St Bede's College, East Bentleigh. Throughout the day, students participated in a range of engaging activities, including checking out science experiments in the laboratory, taking part in theatre sports during Drama, playing fun new games in Physical Education and decorating colourful World Cup soccer cookies in Food Technology. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience a variety of secondary school subjects in a fun and interactive environment.  

Inquiry Project: Our Asian Neighbours

In Term Two, the Year Five Inquiry Unit focused on Our Asian Neighbours. As part of this unit, we worked with a partner to research a country in Asia. We explored its population, culture, and landforms, developed our understanding of the unique features and characteristics of our chosen country. We then shared our posters in an expo.
