Book Week

We are thrilled to announce that Book Week 2025 is almost here!

From Monday, 18th August to Friday, 22nd August, we will celebrate the CBCA theme of Books and Adventure. An exciting week filled with fun and creativity, that inspires a love for reading!

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the incredible events we have planned for the week...

Dress Up Day 

Monday, 18th August

Students are encouraged to get dressed up as their favourite book character! Don't forget to bring a gold coin donation to support our chosen charity Indigenous Literacy Foundation. We will be running parades and competitions on this day with prizes for the best dressed.

Book Fair

Online Mary Martin Book Fair – 6th to 17th August

Start your book shopping early from the comfort of your own home! The Mary Martin Book fair will be live online from 6th August, and for every purchase over $30, you’ll go in the draw to win a fantastic hamper, and have a go at the Golden Ticket raffle when collecting your books at school. 

Onsite Book Fair - 18th to 20th August, 3:30-4pm

Our annual onsite Book Fair will be open in the school library from 3:30 to 4:00pm. Plus, every purchase gets you a chance to win a Golden Ticket mystery prize.

Live Theatrical Performance

 Wednesday, 20th August

Books to Life return with a live performance based on one of CBCA's top book titles General Waste. You won’t want to miss this theatrical adventure!

Annual Writing & Drawing Competitions

We’ll be celebrating the creativity of our students with exciting writing and drawing competitions. Stay tuned for the official announcement on how to enter!

Whole School Book Trivia Competition

Gather your book knowledge and competitive spirit! The Whole School Book Trivia competition is back with exciting prizes and lots of fun!

Daily Storytelling & Classroom Activities

Throughout the week, our students will enjoy daily storytelling sessions and exciting classroom activities that inspire imaginations and encourage a love of reading. We can’t wait to celebrate the magic of books and the spirit of adventure with all our students and families!
