Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
Happy Camping!
We wish our Year 5 Campers lots of exciting and safe adventures throughout their camp experience next week at Roses Gap.
Thank you to our families for supporting our students to attend camp, and a big thank you to our staff attending camp next week.
ANZAC Ceremonies
As a school, we are all so very proud of the leadership, respect and commitment that our students demonstrated throughout our school ANZAC Service. I would like to thank the wonderful community of Miners Rest for joining us last Friday and acknowledge the commitment, planning and preparation of the Year 5/6 Team in ensuring a successful and moving event for everyone involved. Check out the photos from the 5/6 Team on their own page in this newsletter.
It is also important that we acknowledge Mitchell M for speaking at the Miners Rest Community ANZAC Day Service, Ivy F for laying a wreath on behalf of Martha Haylett, as well as James B and Abbey P for laying a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of the Miners Rest School and Kindergarten. Thank you all for your representation and leadership.
Assembly
We look forward to seeing our school community at our next assembly on May 8.
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Kylie Nissen.
