Our ANZAC Reflection
Our students have shown incredible thoughtfulness and maturity as part of our ANZAC learning this term. As a class, they explored powerful texts and reflected on the experiences of soldiers, using this understanding to write their own ANZAC-inspired poems. Their writing captured themes of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance, and it was wonderful to see the depth of empathy and respect in their words.
We are incredibly proud of the way students represented our school during the ANZAC ceremony. Their performance of I Was Only 19 was handled with great care and respect, and they demonstrated a clear understanding of the significance of the occasion. The students who shared their poems spoke with confidence and reverence.
We would also like to extend a thank you to our families and friends who joined us at the cenotaph. Your support helped make the ceremony a special and memorable event for our students and school community.
