Year 6 Economics Expo 2024
Following the amazing success of the Year 6 Economics Expo, some of our Year 6 students shared their reflections ...
Izzy- On the 9th of September the Year 6 Economics Expo was held. This may happen every year but this year it was our turn. It has been the most spectacular event in Year 6. The courtyard was filled with amazing stalls with great prizes and music filled the air. I loved watching people’s faces light up as they won. All together the Year 6 Economics Expo was a successful fundraising event raising over $2000 for the Year 6 Graduation. Thank you to the Karoo students and the community for supporting the Year 6 students of 2024.
Luke M - I really enjoyed the expo, it was so fun to show everyone how to play our game. It was exciting watching people win our games and winning prizes. I had fun advertising our stall.
Xibi -The expo experience was an amazing for everyone. At the start we all picked our groups, then we had a budget for every group depending on the amount of people. We spent four weeks building our stalls; once we finished building our stalls we started advertising and creating posters. When the day came we set up our stalls and waited patiently for the customers to come. I loved watching the kids win prizes and scream with joy. At the end we counted all our money, which was over $2000 profit for our year six graduation.
Dominik - The Year 6 expo was very fun and taught me a lot about advertising. We sold out of all our lollies and ping pong balls. Our stall was called Ping Pong Smash, everyone had a blast at the Expo. It was one of the best days of Year 6!
Jack K - The Year 6 expo taught me a lot of new skills including teamwork, commitment and being supportive towards my peers. I feel very proud of our group for making three mini games for the Expo. It was definitely one of my favourite events in Year 6. Our group also made a profit of $92.40 to go towards our graduation.
