Whole School Athletics Carnival

On Friday 5th May we held the Whole School Athletics Carnival after it was postponed last Term due to wet weather. We were spoilt with amazing weather which topped off a fantastic day.

Students participated in both 100m and 200m running and wheelchair races, shot put, javelin, discus and standing jump. Our Tabloid activities included egg and spoon races, sack races and relays, corn hole/bean bag throw and a gumboot throw.

It was fabulous to see students showing great sportsmanship, cheering on their peers throughout each event.

Congratulations to all our competitors.

Whole School Sport

School Sport started last week with all primary students heading offsite to either gymnastics, Ten Pin Bowling or RDA. We were successful in being granted a Sporting Schools funding grant for Term 2 which, with additional subsidy from the school, allows Primary students to participate in Gymnastics and Bowling free of charge for the term.

Secondary students are enjoying a wide variety of sports again this term including walking, ten pin bowling, gymnastics, indoor golf, spa, RDA, functional fitness and multisport.

We have reintroduced multisport back into our choices this term to provide students with the opportunity to try a variety of sports in a weekly or fortnightly rotation. The first week, students got to try the athletics field events in the lead up to the carnival.

Boccia Knockout Tournament

On Wednesday, our Primary and Secondary Boccia teams competed at the knockout tournament at the Orange PCYC.

The Primary team won 3 games and lost 3 games, finishing in 7th place overall.

The Secondary team tied 3 games and lost 1 game, finishing in 8th place overall.

Well done to all competitors.
