World Challenge is BACK!

Amazing Travel Opportunity for Frankston High School Students…World Challenge is BACK!

In the past World Challenge has taken hundreds of Frankston High School students to amazing countries including Thailand, Cambodia, China, Laos and India.

Frankston High School is excited to announce that we are offering a new opportunity for our students to travel overseas in 2023.

Where to? Nepal!

We have signed up again with the international travel company World Challenge – our longtime partner in student led overseas trips. This time, for a four week expedition to Nepal, departing in November 2023. This experience will be accessible for CURRENT 2022 Year 9 and Year 10 students, who will travel together with our highly experienced Frankston High School staff team and World Challenge expedition leaders in 2023 - when the chosen students will be finishing up their studies in Year 10 and 11.

Why go?

Students who choose to participate in World Challenge Nepal will experience a month long journey that involves fundraising, destination research, team building and pre-travel organization prior to the trip. Once in Nepal, students complete four phases of the expedition experience: Acclimatization, Community Engagement Project, Trekking, and Rest/Relaxation. During each phase, students are given the opportunity to build up their confidence, their communication skills, their independence and their resilience whilst immersing themselves in a rich cultural landscape. Essentially, students have an opportunity to become global citizens.

Nepal

Nepal is our chosen destination because it has something for everyone; combining Himalayan trekking, golden temples, charming hill villages, wonderful community immersion activities such as a farm stay and a community engagement project, as well as jungle wildlife opportunities. It is one of the world's great travel destinations that we believe students will love.

STAY TUNED

Parents/carers and students will have the opportunity to find out further details at an upcoming Parent and Student Information evening that will be held for current Year 9 and 10 students early in Term 2. So, stay tuned!
