Past Students

In this segment, we like to celebrate past students and all that they have achieved. We’re pretty pleased to publish this piece. Andrew Peters is proud of his hometown; he cherishes the long-lasting friendships he built at HHS, he promotes our town, and he has time for everyone. 

Dr Andrew Peters- what a star you are! Andrew is a descendant of the Yarra Yarra, Yorta Yorta, Nguria Willum and Taungerong clans and is an Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies at Swinburne University. 

He’s also an active contributor to the Healesville community and plays for the Healesville Football Club Veterans team.  

Recently, Andrew was inducted as a member of the Richmond Football Club board-what an achievement! President of Richmond Football Club, John O’Rourke said, ‘Andrew has a great passion for the Richmond Football Club and is a highly experienced academic that will bring diversity and expertise to the boardroom.’ 

We can’t agree more! Congratulations, Andrew! You’ve always made us proud and we know you will continue to do so. You’re a fabulous example of a student who has made the most of opportunities, but has remained humble and proud of their beginnings at the same time.
