Art and Technology

The year so far.....

The Art and Technology Domain has had an exciting start to the year with many of the students showing passion, enthusiasm and creative skills.

The Year 7's were introduced to our art studios by participating in a ceramic snail workshop. In textiles, the Year 7's have been making anthropomorphic cactus pin cushions.

The Year 8's have been exploring computer technology through their Digital Technology classes where they become effective digital citizens and safely navigate the digital world.

The Year 9 and 10 elective program has provided the students with the opportunity to try out different art and technology subjects such as Woodwork, Metalwork, Food Technology and Visual Arts. A Street Art Program has been offered to some of our year 9's, where they are currently designing their own skateboards.

Our Year 11 and 12's have been enjoying their practical classes in Art, Media, Music and Food Technology. The Year 11 Media students are filming their first production, an opening sequence for a television show. The Year 11 Art Making and Exhibiting students are currently experimenting with different art materials and the Year 12 Food Technology students really enjoyed making chicken sliders last week.

Art Factory kicked off with a design your own Pokemon card competition. The three best designs will get a $10 cafeteria voucher. There are so many exciting excursions, workshops and programs being organised in the Art and Technology Domain, this will be a very creative year!
