Year 8 Surf Camp

Phillip Island

The highlight for the Year 8’s so far this year has been the Phillip Island surf camp which they attended from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th February. The camp venue (‘CYC- The Island’) located in Cowes was awesome, as it had numerous activities for the students to

participate in such as a flying fox, giant swing, rock climbing wall called ‘The Pinnacle’, a spinning thing called the ‘Circatron’, an indoor basketball court and archery.

The weather was absolutely perfect for surfing on the Thursday and the kids made plenty of use of the camp’s swimming pool that afternoon.

Night activities included visiting the fairy penguins and playing mini golf.

On the way home we played ten-pin bowling and laser tag and visited San Remo for lunch. A big thank you to the staff who attended – Yasmin Penrose, Shane Coady, Erin Benham and Trent Patience.
