WEEK 10 | TERM 4

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

Our Grade 3 and 4 students have been busy building LEGO models by carefully following step by step instructions in STEM. While it looks like play, this activity is building strong foundations in coding and computational thinking.

By following visual instructions in order, students are learning how to sequence steps, recognise patterns and debug when something does not work. These are the same skills used in digital coding and problem solving.

Students showed great persistence, focus and teamwork as they worked through each stage of their builds. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they successfully completed complex designs using logic and accuracy.
