2027 Timetable Development

Term 3 marks the commencement of the College’s 2027 timetable development process. During this period, students currently in Years 8-11 will be selecting their subjects for the following academic year.

All students will receive their Web Preferences login details on Thursday, 30 July, with the subject selection portal remaining open until 4.00pm on Friday, 7 August. Students are encouraged to complete their selections well before the closing date to ensure their preferences can be fully considered as part of the timetable planning process.

The College is committed to developing a timetable that maximises student choice wherever possible. Timely completion of subject selections plays a vital role in this process, allowing student preferences to inform the structure of the 2027 timetable.

At the same time, the process of class allocation will begin. For students entering Years 10-12 in 2027, classes will be formed with a focus on maximising subject choice while also taking into account the pastoral needs of students. The Logistics Team works closely with Year Level Leaders throughout this process to ensure student wellbeing remains a priority.

For students entering Years 8-9 in 2027, class formation is designed to provide access to all required programs. This includes language studies, specialist programs, and, for Year 9 students, their chosen elective subjects. Pastoral considerations also form an important part of class placements, with the Logistics Team and Year Level Leaders collaborating to develop homeroom groups that best support student wellbeing and learning.

Families who have concerns regarding their child's homeroom placement for 2027 are encouraged to communicate these with the relevant Year Level Leader early in Term 3. While every effort is made to consider requests, it is important to recognise that not all requests can be accommodated due to curriculum requirements and access to specialist programs. Nevertheless, the pastoral needs and wellbeing of students remain central to all decisions made throughout the timetable and class formation process.
