A huge shout out to all of our performers and their conductors and teachers. We have had unprecedented success at our district Fanfare heat - 8 platinum awards and 2 gold awards!!! Outstanding!!!

Congratulations to all of the students who performed for their hard work, dedication, musicianship and teamwork - it really all came together today and paid huge dividends! The adjudicator today was Dr Ralph Hultgren who is a legend in Instrumental Music, having trained a whole generation of teachers at QUT and the Conservatorium. We are humbled that we rate so highly, considering his experience in teaching, conducting and performing Instrumental Music.

A massive thank you to the Instrumental Music and Classroom Music team for your vision, passion, creativity, and dedication - you are an exceptional team who make every day better through music making and collegiality.

We are incredibly excited about the standard of our performances today. All of the ensemble directors will share the adjudicator’s reports with their groups from next week. For now, we just get to bask in the glow of the bright, shiny awards we have been given:
