We acknowledge the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations survivors and their families. We recognise the ongoing impacts of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and Country, and the importance of truth, understanding and reconciliation.
As we move into National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), this year’s theme, All In, reminds us that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility. It encourages all Australians to take meaningful action toward building respectful and inclusive communities.
National Reconciliation Week concludes with Mabo Day on 3 June, recognising the legacy of Eddie Koiki Mabo and the landmark decision that overturned terra nullius and recognised Native Title in Australia.
Throughout the week, students and staff may engage in activities and discussions that promote understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives. These everyday actions help strengthen connection, respect and inclusion within our school community.
Thank you to our students, families and staff for their ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
