Cyber Incursion - Grades 3 to 6
Susan McLean is Australia's foremost expert in the area of cyber safety. She was with the Australian Federal Police for 27 years as the first Victorian Police Officer appointed to a position involving cyber safety and young people.
We have Susan booked to run 90 minute incursions with our Grade 3/4 and 5/6 students on Monday 1st December. Susan will then present to parents and carers at Bendigo South East Secondary College that evening in a ticketed event. Please provide permission and payment via Compass for your child to participate in the incursion and feel free to book your ticket for the parent/carer presentation. We look forward to being part of the work Susan will do with our students about being responsible and safe online.
Asthma, Allergy and Anaphylaxis Plans for 2026
Wendy will soon send home blank management plan templates for known students who suffer from asthma, allergies and/or anaphylaxis. We request that families have these plans completed and signed off by a doctor and returned at the start of the 2026 school year. Continuing with 2025 plans (in 2026) can not suffice; all management plans must be updated annually. This request is in line with DET policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
Netbooks - Grades 3 to 6
All netbooks in Grade 3-6 will be collected in the last week of Term 4. It is compulsory for all netbooks to stay at school during the school holidays. Grade 6 students are required to return their chargers also, so the netbook and charger can be prepared for Grade 3 students in 2026. Please note that lost or damaged netbooks will incur a charge to families, this includes lost chargers which cost $40 to replace.
Families of current Grade 2 students will soon receive a letter about the netbook program for your child in 2026.
