A great start!

Foodbank Victoria partners with Brunswick Secondary College to provide free non-perishable food and fresh fruit for the BSC Breakfast Club.

Foodbank regularly supplies a range of goods including Weetbix, Cheerios, Cornflakes, muesli, oats, tinned fruit, fruit cups, baked beans, UHT milk, apples, oranges, pears, baby carrots and more.

Our amazing parent volunteers arrive early at school every day to set up Breakfast Club.

They also help to source fresh food that can be used to prepare hot and nutritious breakfasts. Their efforts regularly deliver delicious meals including hot cheese toasties, wholegrain chocolate balls (made with Vitabrits) and wholegrain honey joys (made with Weeties)! There are also Grab & Go options for busy students who need to keep moving!

Students are invited to visit the Breakfast Club between 8:00am - 8:45 am in H2 - in fact, everyone in the school is welcome! Students and staff can meet to enjoy a some making for a happy start to the day. We are always keen to see more customers in the morning, so please drop by!

The commitment and effort that you all invest in the Breakfast Club program is greatly appreciated by the students of BSC!

Can you help?

If any parents/carers are interested in volunteering at Breakfast club, please contact me directly via cjoh@brunswick.vic.edu.au.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, connect with the school and support our community spirit !

We are also looking to local organisations who can supply donations to the Breakfast Club such as eggs, flour and cheese.  Grocery store vouchers are also very useful, as Breakfast Club volunteers can use these to purchase those items that we cannot source from Foodbank Victoria. If families know of any community-minded local businesses that could help the program they can email details to me via cjoh@brunswick.vic.edu.au.

We also take this opportunity to thank the BSC Parents Association who regularly contribute funds to support this important and valued program.
