KLA Feature - Year 12

This week marked the end of our Year 12 students’ school journey here at Caroline Chisholm College. At the beginning of the year, I challenged Year 12 to make the most of their final year of schooling, to lead with kindness, unity and purpose, and to remember that This Is Your Moment – Embrace the Sprint. They certainly rose to that challenge. Throughout the year, Year 12 2026 have led our school community with resilience, compassion, integrity and a strong sense of purpose, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by our College community.

The final week was filled with opportunities to create those special memories that make the end of school so memorable. Students enjoyed decorating their Year 12 shirts, creating personalised mementos that they can keep as a reminder of their time together. Our ‘Dress Like a Teacher Day' also brought plenty of laughter, with students embracing the opportunity to celebrate the teachers who have been part of their journey in a fun and light hearted way.

Tuesday 22 September marked their last official school day at the College. The day itself began with our annual Year 12 Breakfast, providing students and staff with the opportunity to celebrate together in a relaxed and beautiful setting. This was followed by our final Year 12 Assembly, where we came together as a year group to share our favourite memories, reflect on the six year journey at Caroline Chisholm College and celebrate everything they have achieved.

Year 12 were then farewelled by the entire College community at a very special Farewell Assembly and Liturgy. The day culminated in the traditional Guard of Honour, an important and symbolic moment as our Year 12 students walked through the College community for the final time. I am sure this will remain a treasured memory for many of our students and staff.

Our Graduation celebrations continued with the Graduation Mass on Wednesday 23 September, where we gathered in thanksgiving and celebrated the journey of our graduating students. This was followed by our final Graduation celebration, where we recognised the individual achievements of our students and celebrated the many contributions they have made throughout their time at Caroline Chisholm College.

Many of our students are already stepping boldly into their futures, securing university offers, apprenticeships, employment and other exciting opportunities. Their readiness for this next chapter is a reflection of their initiative, maturity and the strong foundations they have developed throughout their time at the College.

It has been an absolute privilege to lead and support Year 12 2026 through their senior years. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them and all they have achieved. They have grown into articulate, resilient and compassionate young women who have led our student community with grace, integrity and purpose.

As they now step beyond the College gates and into their next chapter, I wish every member of Year 12 2026 every happiness and success for the future. I have no doubt that this remarkable group of young women will continue to achieve wonderful things.

This is your moment. Embrace the sprint.
