Year 12 Graduation Mass

Our Year 12 Graduating Class of 2026 was celebrated at a special Graduation Mass on Wednesday, 24 September at St Padre Pio Parish. Celebrated by our Parish Priest, Fr Johnson Joseph, the Mass brought together our graduates, their parents, families and friends, along with staff and members of the College community, to give thanks to God for their journey and pray for the next chapter of their lives. It was wonderful to see so many members of our Chisholm family gathered together to share in this significant milestone and to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026.

Our celebration began with a formal procession of our Year 12 graduates, accompanied by members of the Year 12 Pastoral Team and their parents. During the procession, each graduate was presented with her Graduation Stole, placed on her by her parents. This meaningful moment recognised the important role parents have played as the primary educators of their daughters throughout their thirteen-year schooling journey. The Graduation Stole marked the completion of their secondary schooling and their new status as graduates of Caroline Chisholm College. It also symbolised their being sent forth into the next stage of their lives as confident, compassionate and independent young women, carrying with them the values of faith, courage, tolerance, dignity, justice and compassion.

The Ceremony of Light at the conclusion of the Mass provided a significant moment of reflection, drawing on the theme of Christ as the light of the world, which had been a key focus of the students’ Formation Day earlier this year. The graduates received the lights of wisdom, love and faith from College staff, their parents and the College community, symbolising the gifts and values that will accompany them into the next stage of their lives. Inspired by Jesus’ words, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14), the ceremony reminded our graduates of their call to let their light shine through their actions and to carry the light of Christ into the world.

We congratulate the Class of 2026 and give thanks for the families, teachers and wider Chisholm community who have supported and accompanied them throughout their journey. May God bless each of our graduates as they step confidently into the future.
