Message from Oubu Yamada 2020 Alumni.

I attended Brighton SC as an international student from Japan from 2018 to 2020, 3 years in total. It was an amazing experience and one that has helped lead me into my current studies in Japan. Having good English skills provides great advantage to citizens of Japan and can lead to great employment opportunities. 

My time at Brighton Sc was of course interrupted in 2020 as the pandemic took hold. After studying online in Term 2 and 3, I returned home to Japan to sit Japanese University entrance exams. I graduated from Brighton SC in October 2020 and was successful in obtaining a place at a prestigious university in Tokyo where I am currently studying economics and accounting. Soon I will be sitting the USCPA (American Accountancy License) to further enhance my career opportunities. I was fortunate to study accounting here at Brighton SC and this really helped focus my attention on what I want to do for my career.

On Wednesday 6th September, I returned to Brighton to visit Mr Agg, Ms Jessica and Ms O’Neill. It was so nice to once again be warmly welcomed into my alma mater, and helping out during the BBQ celebration for the upcoming ‘Moon Festival’ reminded me of the great time I experienced here.
