Excursions/Events

Semester 2 Art Making & Exhibiting Excursion
Our Year 10 and 11 art students experienced a day of visual inspiration and contrasts exploring the French Impressionist Exhibition at the NGV and in the afternoon ‘The Mourning After’ at RMIT or Wurrdha Marra (Many Mobs) at the NGV Ian Potter Centre.
Being able to experience priceless artwork by the likes of Monet, Renoir, Cassatt and Degas was a rare opportunity for staff and students alike. Cameras out and notebooks in hand, students enjoyed the luxurious setting which referenced C19th salon décor and were able to stand before the famed paintings, absorbing their beauty and virtuosity.
In the afternoon, Year 10 class explored the Australian collections at the NGV Ian Potter, while the Year 11s walked to the RMIT Design Hub gallery to a very different exhibition space – dark, ambient and contemplative. ‘The Mourning After’ exhibition showcased Australian contemporary pieces that explored the theme of mourning and grief.

Police Incursion:
Our Year 7 and 9 Literacy Skills and Support students recently took part in an engaging incursion with officers from the Narre Warren Police Station, focusing on the important topic of cyber security.
During the session, students learned practical strategies to stay safe online, recognise potential scams, and protect their personal information in the digital world. The officers shared real-life examples and answered questions, helping students understand how to make responsible and informed choices when using technology.
It was a valuable and informative session that supported our students to become more confident and cyber-aware digital citizens.
2025 Colour Run
Our 2025 Colour Run was a huge success! 🌈
Students, staff and families came together for a vibrant afternoon filled with colour, laughter and school spirit. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved — running, dancing, and celebrating together in such a fun and positive way.
Events like the Colour Run remind us how special our school community is, as we connect, have fun, and support one another.
A big thank you to all the staff, student leaders and volunteers who helped organise the day, your efforts made this event truly unforgettable!
