School for Student Leadership

LESC is so proud that Chelsea, Mackenzie, Jasmine, Malachai and Collin have all been successful with their applications and have been selected to attend the School for Student Leadership - Don Valley in Term 2.

This is a great achievement, with only around 2% of students across Victorian government schools given the opportunity to take part in the program.

The School for Student Leadership is a residential program held at campuses across regional Victoria, where students live and learn on site for eight weeks. The campus our students will attend is the newest of the four, alongside The Alpine School, Snowy River and Gnurad-Gundidj, and is set in a beautiful natural environment.

During their time there, students will work with others from across the state, taking part in team activities, outdoor experiences and group projects designed to build confidence and leadership skills. It’s also a chance for them to step outside their comfort zone, meet new people and challenge themselves in different ways.

We look forward to hearing about their experiences and seeing what they bring back to LESC.
