Welcome to Term 3

This is an important and productive term for all Year 11 and Year 12 students as they continue to build on their learning and prepare for upcoming assessments and examinations.

Semester 1 Reports

Semester 1 reports have been available to download since last Friday. We encourage all students and families to take the time to review these reports together, celebrate achievements and identify areas for continued growth throughout Semester 2.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

It was fantastic to see so many families attend our Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences online. These conversations are an invaluable opportunity for students to receive targeted feedback from their teachers, reflect on their progress and identify the small, meaningful improvements that can make a significant difference over the remainder of the year.

For our Year 12 students, this feedback should now be used to refine learning habits, strengthen understanding in Unit 4 coursework and revisit key knowledge and skills from Unit 3 as part of an ongoing revision program.

Study Tip – Spaced Repetition

One of the most effective study strategies is spaced repetition. Rather than cramming before a SAC or examination, students should revisit content regularly over time. Reviewing notes, completing practice questions and testing yourself every few days helps strengthen long-term memory and improves recall under exam conditions. Even 15–20 minutes of focused revision each day can have a significant impact.

VCE Examination Navigators

Year 12 students will shortly be familiarising themselves with the VCAA Examination Navigators for each of their subjects. These documents provide important information about examination requirements, permitted materials and assessment expectations, helping students feel confident and well prepared for the end-of-year examinations. They will be distributed during Brain Gains sessions next week.

SEAS Applications

Students intending to apply for tertiary study in 2027 should begin planning their Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) application. SEAS applications open during Term 3 and students are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the application process and key dates well before closing deadlines. Students will be supported with this process during their one-on-one meeting with Ms Donna Morante – Future Pathways Leader.

Year 11 Subject Selection for 2027

Year 11 students have now received their subject selection codes for entry into Year 12 in 2027. Students who require assistance selecting subjects should speak with the Senior School or Careers team before submitting their preferences.

We wish all students a successful Term 3 and encourage everyone to remain consistent with their attendance, organisation and study routines. Small improvements made each week will make a significant difference as we move towards the end of the school year.
