Welcome to Term 3

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope all of our Junior School students and families had a relaxing and enjoyable break and are feeling refreshed for another exciting term of learning. It has been fantastic to see our Year 7 and 8 students return with such a positive attitude and ready to make the most of the opportunities ahead.

There are several important events coming up over the next few weeks. In Week 3, all Year 7 and 8 students will complete DAL (Diagnostic Assessment of Learning) testing. These assessments provide valuable information about each student's progress and help teachers tailor learning to best meet individual needs. We encourage students to get a good night's sleep beforehand, eat breakfast, and arrive at school ready to do their best.

On Tuesday 11th August, all Year 8 students will participate in The Man Cave and Big Sister Experience programs. These engaging workshops provide students with the opportunity to explore topics such as resilience, respectful relationships, emotional wellbeing, confidence and positive decision-making in a supportive environment. We know these programs are always a highlight for our students and look forward to another successful day.

As always, we'd like to remind students about a couple of important Junior School expectations:

  • Student Planners: Every student is expected to have their planner with them at all times throughout the school day. Planners are an important organisational tool and are also used as students' pass around the school. If a planner has been lost, replacements can be purchased from the General Office.
  • Uniform Passes: If students are out of correct school uniform for any reason, they must obtain a uniform pass from the Junior School Office before school. This helps us ensure students are supported while maintaining our school uniform expectations.

We look forward to another fantastic term filled with learning, growth and opportunities for all of our Junior School students.
