Facilities

Over the past few months, we have been working hard to continually improve our facilities to ensure we provide clean, safe and enjoyable learning spaces for all of our students.

Stadium Changerooms

We have recently completed the Stadium changerooms refurbishment. Worth the wait, these changerooms are fresh, modern and add to the fantastic resources currently enjoyed in the stadium.

It's been a long wait for these magnificent new changerooms in the Stadium, but honestly, it has been worth it! From what I've seen and heard, the students have been really impressed with their new changerooms. The photos provided show the school community the great finishes throughout the spaces provided.

The project started at the beginning of the school year and the change rooms were handed over to us ready for use on Thursday 30 July.

A big thank you to leadership and our Facilities Manager Gary McCall for overseeing the project. These new spaces serve to improve learning outcomes and the day-to-day experience for Lyndale students.

I would also like to thank all the HPE stationed in the Stadium office for their patience and tolerance to noise and for the smaller teaching spaces due to the temporary fencing that was erected.

Students are reminded of the following:

Entry into the Stadium

  • Entry to the Stadium for students doing Physical Education is now back to the Front Doors on the Gladstone Rd end. Students exit via the same doors at the end of class.
  • Entry to the Stadium Classrooms (GYMC1 & 2) are via the rear green door. Exiting from (GYMC 1 & 2) again via rear door.

Lyndale students will need to respect our facilities so we all get to enjoy them well into the future. Students are to follow teachers’ instructions on the use of changerooms at all times.

Administration Deck & BBQ

The extension to the deck and electric BBQ outside the Administration building is almost complete, this will provide us the opportunity to enjoy some of our special occasions together, like our 100% attendance celebrations, making them more inclusive.

Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA)

Finally, the long-awaited cover over the basketball and tennis courts or 'covered outdoor learning area' (COLA) is in its final design stage and soon we will be able to commence the build. This will be an exciting addition to Lyndale’s already impressive resources, providing shelter from all the elements and allowing us to use the courts in all conditions. Stay tuned for progress reports! Below is an indicative representation of the proposed COLA.
