NDIS Navigator

Hello families,
This is your NDIS Navigator, Kristy.
We are currently awaiting the outcome of the Senate Inquiry into the proposed NDIS Bill. Once further information becomes available, I will schedule an information session next term to provide an update on any announced changes and what they may mean for our families.
In the meantime, please feel free to contact me to arrange a time to discuss your child's NDIS plan. As a reminder, I work Monday to Thursday. You can make an appointment by calling the office or emailing me at Kristy.Sellers@education.vic.gov.au
Thriving Kids Initiative
- Two new developmental assessments will be available for every child: one before kindergarten and one before starting school.
- Trained clinicians and allied health professionals will identify developmental delays and connect families with appropriate supports.
- Allied health professionals and support workers will be employed by the Government and based within services that families already access, such as Maternal and Child Health services, kindergartens, and Early Parenting Centres.
Children with permanent and significant disabilities, or those with high support needs, will continue to access support through the NDIS.
School Leaver Information
For families of students who are graduating this year, several service providers will be holding open days that may be of interest as you explore post-school options. Details of upcoming events are included below.
We will continue to share information about additional open days and transition opportunities as they become available throughout Term 3.
