A message from your Learning Place Leader, Tim!

Welcome to Acacia!

My name is Tim, and I am excited to introduce myself as the new Leading Teacher in Acacia Learning Place.

This is my fourth year at the school and my eleventh year working in special education. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting students to achieve success, develop independence, and engage in meaningful learning opportunities. Outside of the classroom, I have a strong passion for Physical Education and enjoy all things sport related.

Although I have only been in the Leading Teacher role within Acacia for the past four weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the students, families, and staff during this time. I have been incredibly impressed by the dedication of our team and the positive relationships that exist across our learning community.

I look forward to continuing to work alongside staff and families to support our students and ensure they have every opportunity to thrive.

Things to remember:

SeeSaw and Compass are the best ways to communicate with building staff.

School starts at 9 and finishes at 3. If drop offs and pickups are outside of these times, you may be required to wait, as this is learning time for our students, and staff will attend when they can.

Please label all student items, including shoes and clothing. 

Please dress students appropriately for the weather.
