Year 5 Highlight

Our Grade 5 students have been electrifying their learning by exploring the world of circuits during their recent DBL lessons. Using Makey Makey boards, they’ve been discovering how electricity flows and how circuits work in a fun and interactive way.

Through hands-on experiments, students connected everyday objects like fruit, playdough, and foil to create simple circuits and control their computers. This engaging process helped them understand key concepts like conductors, insulators, and how completing a circuit allows electricity to flow. They were challenged to think creatively as they built their own inventions and tested how different materials affected their circuits.

The classroom buzzed with excitement, collaboration, and problem-solving as students worked in teams to troubleshoot and improve their designs. Their curiosity and enthusiasm shone through as they shared discoveries and celebrated successes. It’s been an inspiring journey into the fundamentals of electricity, and we’re so proud of their innovative thinking and progress!
