Year 4 Highlight

Wellbeing - ‘Exploring Emotions and Coping Strategies’
During our recent Wellbeing sessions, our Year 4 students have been exploring a range of coping strategies and emotional responses through fun and interactive activities. We’ve focused on identifying and practising positive strategies to support them when facing changes and challenges, while also learning to understand that everyone responds differently. Students participated in the ‘Everyone is Different’ game to celebrate these differences, and the ‘Traffic Lights’ game to practise self-control and quick reactions. They also worked in pairs to create their own Emotions Intensity Scales, helping them recognise what can trigger strong emotions and how to manage big feelings in positive ways. We hope these activities are helping students develop greater self-awareness and equipping them to approach future situations with confidence and resilience!
