Gardening

This term in Gardening we have been embracing the seasonal change.
In celebration of Reconciliation Week we are reading the story Looking After Country with Fire. We are exploring our Woiwurrung weaving and Dreaming Garden, tasting the fresh shoots of the spiny-headed Matrush, nibbling on the savoury leaves of Old Man saltbush, and tasting the delicious gems from Finger Limes. We sipped on Lemon Myrtle Tea and reflected on how we can care for Country.
Earlier in the term we celebrated a harvest of our pumpkin crop with warm mugs of soup - thank you to the families who came along to share this time with us!
We have harvested the last of our tomatoes and cucumbers, and are enjoying munching on radishes, beans and the occasional fruits from our Mexican Strawberry tree.
Please save the date for our next working bee - Sunday 15th June 10am - 2pm - come along and help us look after our school grounds
If you would like to help in the gardening program or TPS enviros please reach out to Emily via the office
