Celebrating Learning

At the moment we are in the middle of a place value main lesson. Our beloved fairies from last year, Una, Deci and Centie travelled to the land of Land Of Rightness to meet King Courtious to help him solve the problem of how many gold coins he has. He didn’t know whether he had 3, 30, 300 or 3000. In order to help them they met a new fairy called Milia and they managed to count all the gold coins into the hundreds! 

They have enjoyed bundling and unbundling paddle pop sticks, exploring numbers with MAB and of course gemstones and fairy bags.  Renaming and exploring the flexibility of numbers has been fun. 

In writing we have continued writer's notebook and they are all writing something they are excited about!
