Art Expo at Plenty Ranges

Students from Purple and Orange Class recently visited the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre to view their artwork on display as part of the community art exhibition themed "BELONG."

Over three weeks, students participated in a community arts project where they explored what the word belong means to them. Working alongside local artist Gay, students learned the unique art of dry felting, creating both 2D and 3D artworks that reflected their personal experiences, connections and sense of belonging.

The students' artwork was entered into the exhibition competition, accompanied by a statement about what it means for our students to belong at PRC. Gay beautifully displayed the artworks on large twigs, creating a stunning and meaningful exhibition piece.

We were thrilled to attend the official Art Opening and even more excited to learn that our students had been awarded the Youth Encouragement Award. This recognition celebrates the creativity, effort and thoughtfulness our students demonstrated throughout the project.

We are incredibly proud of all students involved. Their willingness to learn new skills, share their stories and represent PRC so positively is a wonderful achievement. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this fantastic project!
