Father’s Day Celebrations at CPS
We’ll be celebrating all the CPS Dads and Father figures on Friday 4th September with the PFA running three different events to make sure the special men in our kiddos lives feel the love!
Father & Special Persons Stall
The PFA will be holding a stall during the morning with a gorgeous selection of gifts available for children to purchase, with prices ranging between $2-$6 per gift.
Father’s Day BBQ
All CPS Dads and role models are invited to join their kids at a special BBQ after school.
Father’s Day Drinks
All CPS Dads and father figures are invited along for some relaxed drinks while watching the footy at the Gardiner Hotel in Malvern from 7pm.
More details on each event will be shared closer to but for now, mark your calendars. We’re also seeking Dads to help out with the running of the BBQ after school.

Join the Colour Run Committee
The PFA is excited to announce we’ll be holding another CPS Colour Run in Term 4. More details (including the date) will be announced soon but for now we’re seeking parents and carers interested in helping to organise this exciting fundraising event!
We’ll be doing a call-out closer via SignUp for parents and careers to volunteer on the day itself. What we’re looking for now is parents keen to support the event organisers leading the event.
Tasks the organising committee is responsible for includes logistics, risk assessment, communications and volunteer recruitment.
We’ll be having an online-kick off meeting next Monday 24th August at 7:30pm.
If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved, this is a super fun event to be part of.

Trivia Night Wrap!
A huge TYSM!!!! <3 to everyone who rewound the clock to the 2000s for Saturday’s CPS 2026 Trivia Night! It was awesome seeing so many new faces out enjoying this favourite parent event.
If you were lucky enough to win one of our amazing Silent Auction items, please respond to the email you would have received, so we can finalise our fundraising tally and get your items to you!
Congratulations to our merged team consisting of parents from Prep, Grade 2 & 3 who took home the win on the night. We hope you are enjoying your rewards and still basking in the glory of your achievement!
A big thanks to our Trivia sub-committee who helped source auction items, helped with room set up and ensured the night ran smoothly. Monica Espinosa, Claire Edwards, Sheridan Wildash and Voula Hardy.
To Anchorman Mick Davies, who took on Jnr Anchor responsibilities for the night to keep everyone in check and double checking those score tallies, thank you for being kind of a big deal.
We definitely can’t “shuffle” past Michael Vanderberg for his stellar Trivia Host efforts. For all the prep work beforehand, set up during the day and being the Trivia Host with the mostest - you really did entertain us. Thank you so so much!
While Michael & Mick may have been up on stage, behind the scenes it was definitely Jenn Needham who deserves our vote, not Pedro. Huge thank you to Jenn for being our amazing trivia night organiser extraordinaire yet again this year.
To our very own Principal Roberts, thank you for the addition of the priceless items to the Silent Auction, there are some eager students who can’t wait to see these items come into fruition!
Our platinum sponsor of the evening, Slater & Levin for their generous donation of the $1000 Gathar voucher, and they deserve a special shout out for their continuous support of PFA events. Thank you for your community spirit!
Thank you to all the parents & local businesses who donated silent auction items, raffle prizes and giveaways on the night - it truly takes a village and our kids will certainly reap the rewards of your donations.
We’ll be sure to share the final amount raised with you all once we’ve tallied it. Until then, thank you to everyone who attended, for the efforts in their costumes, digging deep and making it a night to remember.
Booyakasha!
