Year 6 Leading the Way

The Year 6 students have been busy engaging in a range of exciting learning opportunities over the past few weeks. In Mathematics, students have been investigating probability, exploring the likelihood of events occurring and using mathematical language to describe chance. They have enjoyed conducting experiments, making predictions, and analysing results to develop their understanding of probability concepts.
In Reading, students have been developing their comprehension skills by comparing texts and identifying similarities and differences between characters, settings, themes, and authors' techniques. These discussions have encouraged deeper thinking and strengthened their ability to support their ideas with evidence from the text. We have also continued reading our class novels, which have sparked thoughtful conversations and helped students build their vocabulary and understanding of different perspectives. It has been wonderful to see the students actively engaged in their learning and sharing their insights with their classmates.
