Principals Message

As we approach the end of a busy and rewarding term, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our teachers for the tremendous amount of work that goes into preparing student reports. Countless hours of assessment, observations, and careful reflection have enabled our staff to provide meaningful feedback on each child's learning journey. Reports will be sent home next week, and I encourage families to take the time to celebrate their child's achievements and growth.
This semester, we have made a slight adjustment to the format of our reports. One of my favourite additions is a personalised comment at the beginning of each report. I believe this is a wonderful way to celebrate the unique relationships that classroom teachers build with their students and to acknowledge each child's individual strengths and contributions to our school community.
If you have any questions regarding your child's report, please don't hesitate to contact your child's classroom teacher or myself. We value the strong partnership between home and school and are always happy to discuss your child's progress.
Over the past few weeks, our senior students and staff have also revisited one of our Our School Expectations, Care for Others. Together, we explored what it means to show kindness through our words, our facial expressions, and our body language. We discussed the important role these behaviours play in helping everyone in our community feel safe, valued, and respected.
As part of these conversations, we also addressed the topic of bullying. We talked about bullying as repeated, intentional words or actions directed towards another person or group, and the impact this behaviour can have on others. I would like to congratulate our senior students for the maturity and respect they demonstrated during these discussions. They listened thoughtfully, contributed positively, and showed a genuine commitment to making our school a welcoming place for everyone.
As the holidays approach, I hope that all of our families have the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved rest and quality time together. Thank you for your continued support throughout the term. I wish you all a safe, warm, and relaxing break, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning.
