Solemnity of The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (August 15) celebrates the entry of Mary into heaven, body and soul. 

We celebrated this event with a Mass led by Father Chinua and our Grade 5/6 students. 

Religious Education at St Augustine's

The 5/6 classes invited Miss Bishop out to the prayer garden to share a special prayer experience in the lead-up to the feast day of St Mary of the Cross. 

The prayer focused on two of her famous quotes, the first of which is displayed in the prayer garden

Mini Vinnies

This term at St A's the Mini Vinnies group is focusing on spreading kindness to people around us!

We have been making special notes for people that we hope put a smile on their faces!

Here is the prayer we wrote for kindness;

Kind God,

You give us joy in life,

Help us be kind and happy.

Through Christ our Lord,
