Principal's Report

Dear St A’s Community,
It looks like the weather is getting a little warmer, which makes the drop offs in the morning mush easier for our families!!
What an exciting fortnight it has been at St Augustine’s School!
The Olympic celebration last Friday was fantastic – so many happy St A’s students participating and enjoying the event.
This week we celebrated 100 days of school, for our amazing prep students! It was a day of excitement and fun for our Preps! Thanks to all the parents for helping with the celebratory party food and for dressing up these super star preps in their 100 year old cotumes!
All of our students also participated in the Green Planks incursion on Tuesday and Wednesday, as part of Science Week, which was a great opportunity to build, build, build! Thanks to all the families that attended the Green Planks family night!
On Thursday our community came together for the Mass of the Feast of Assumption. This significant feast day recalls the spiritual and physical departure of the mother of Jesus Christ from the earth, when both her soul and her body were taken into the presence of God. At the end of her earthly life, Mary was assumed, or taken up, into heaven body and soul. She did not have to wait for the end of the world, as we do. God granted her this special privilege because of her sinlessness and her fullness of grace.
Year 7 2026 Enrolment reminder
Just a reminder to Year 5 families that today - Friday 16th August - is the cut off date to enrol your child in Catholic Secondary Schools for the 2026 school year. Please make sure that you have already attended to this task.
Book Week
It’s time to begin organising this year’s Book Week Parade Costume! We will celebrate our dress up day on Thursday 22nd August. There will be our Book Week Parade at 9:15 am in the school hall. This year’s theme is Reading is Magic! Parents and families are all very welcome to attend!
School Community Fair
Preparations are underway for our 2024 school fair, which will be held on November 17th. Over the coming weeks we will be seeking support from the wider community to assist in a variety of ways. This event will be a great success for our community if we work together as a team!!
Enjoy your weekened and week ahead and please let me know if there is anything that I can do to assist you or your family.
Show Grace, Be the joy for others and God Bless.
