St A's Readathon!
At last week's assembly, we handed out the first awards for our school Readathon! Well done to the following students who read the most books in their cohort last fortnight:

Grade 5/6 - Eric H
We also awarded our first class prize to....
Grade 1C!
Well done to Grade 1C, who just clinched the trophy, winning by only one book!

Book Week!
Book Week is next week - how exciting!

The Book Fair will be set up in the main building hallway before and after school next week. The students will complete wish lists with their class during the week.
Opening times: 8.30 - 8.45am and 3.15 - 3.30pm
Have fun over the weekend getting your costumes organised! We look forward to seeing all your chosen characters on Thursday for our Book Day Parade - 9am in the St A's Hall!
Olympics Fun Day
Last Friday we held the St A´s Olympic Fun day with students dressing in Green and Gold or the colours of their families origin! We gathered on the oval in the middle block for races, singing, dancing and lots of laughs! The Teachers kicked off proceedings by doing a 70m sprint with each teacher designated a house team the winner would gain 30 points to their respective house! Mr Thomas took the win by a ´chest´ over Mr Todd! Each year level then competed to do the same gathering points to their house team to close out our Olympics competition with the winner announced at Assembly - Corinella! 100 Days of Prep
We had such a lovely day celebrating our Preps on Monday 12th August! They enjoyed a class party, crafts, activities with their buddies and did an almighty Parade that everyone enjoyed! Congratulations to our wonderful Preps on this milestone!!

Green Hat Planks Incursion
This week was National Science Week. To celebrate we participated in a Green Hat Planks incursion. Students enjoyed exploring how to build and design using the planks through problem-solving and play-based learning.
