Principal Report
Our school is located on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
Our recent Parent Survey has provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the strengths of our school community and identify areas where we can continue to grow and improve.
It is important that we take the time to celebrate the positive feedback received, acknowledging the dedication of our staff, the achievements of our students and the strong partnerships we continue to build with our families.
Equally important is our commitment to listening carefully to areas identified for improvement. This feedback will help inform our planning, strengthen our practices, and ensure we continue to provide a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.
We thank our families for taking the time to share their perspectives and for their ongoing support of our school.
Some wonderful results to celebrate include:
90% – Overall parent satisfaction with the education provided.
Areas for continued growth include:
The recent school holiday period provided an excellent opportunity to undertake a range of important maintenance and improvement projects across our school grounds and facilities.
A key project has been the ongoing improvement of our bottom oval seating area to enhance this space. The addition of topsoil and grass will further improve the area, creating a more welcoming, functional and enjoyable environment for our students, families and wider school community. Thank you to John and Ross from School Council for driving this.
Works have also commenced on our cricket pitch, while our beautiful basketball courts will undergo servicing to ensure they remain in excellent condition for our students and community groups to enjoy.
In addition, important works have been completed on the stadium roof, supporting the ongoing use of this valuable facility by our students, families and community groups.
Looking ahead to 2027, we have also undertaken maintenance across our classrooms, including thorough cleaning, ceiling restoration and guttering works. These improvements form part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, welcoming and high-quality learning spaces for our students and staff.
It is wonderful to see these projects progressing, and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on our school environment.
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Boroondara Literary Awards at the Hawthorn Arts Centre. These awards celebrate creativity, imagination and excellence in writing, providing an opportunity for young writers to showcase their talents and have their work recognised within the wider community.
It was an incredibly proud moment to attend the evening and support three of our talented students, who were recognised for their outstanding writing achievements.
These are exceptional achievements and a wonderful reflection of the creativity, dedication and passion for writing demonstrated by our students.
A huge congratulations to July, Colin and Abi! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and the way you have represented our school. Thank you also to our dedicated teachers and supportive families who continue to nurture and encourage a love of literacy and creative expression.
