Update from Art and STEAM
For any of you that have been closely following the where abouts of the school cow... Dairy McLairy (named by our students), well she has been completed! Our Grade 5 students took part in a unit of work learning about dairy farms with Mrs Nestor during STEAM. They explored the dairy industry and the process of how dairy products are farmed to eventually end up in supermarkets and in our homes. Students then created design plans to assist in providing creative ideas for the artwork to be put on our very own school cow. Many of our students have been working so hard during recess and lunchtime with Mrs Jackson over the past two weeks. Mrs Nestor has been a digital genius to ensure all of this work was documented and submitted on time so that Skye PS can be part of this amazing competition! A few sneak peek photos have been attached for you to take a look!!! A big team effort but she looks SPECTACULAR! Congratulations to all of our students involved.
