Leah Baird (Palmerston, NT; Year 12 Class of 2025, CGGS) - Leah has moved to Katherine and has been successful in applying for a traineeship at Little Mangoes Early Learning Centre, which is part of the YMCA, in Katherine.  Leah will complete a 12 month Certificate III in childcare, via CDU over the next 12 months – congratulations Leah!  Little Mangoes is a culturally strong workplace, with lots of mentoring support. Leah is still keen to return to Melbourne and Monash University to commence a teaching degree after that.

Kevin Garrawurra (Year 7 Class of 2021, Year 8 at Brighton Grammar School Melbourne; Community Galiwinku and now Ramingining, NT) - Upon returning to the NT, Kev went to school at Ramingining and also worked for CDP three mornings a week. Last year he graduated with his NTCET (see photo below) and now loves his work as a Youth Engagement Officer at Ramingining, and is about to get his licence. Kev has a partner, and is playing local footy and also gets flown into Darwin for some matches with the Wanderers.

He has received academic awards and has been quite the sports superstar, playing for the Wanderers Premier League in footy, rugby for Darwin Rabbitohs and placing first in the Cross Country in Darwin.

This year Sonny has visited Melbourne for State of Origin and Clontarf All Australian Team matches, thanks to being called up to the AFL National Academy. He recently earned a National Draft Combine invitation with the AFL – congratulations and good luck for the future Sonny!.
