Highlights from Heights
As we move towards the end of the term, there are still many learning opportunities and special events taking place across the school.
Our Senior Learning Centre students recently returned from a highly successful camp. Students embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves, demonstrate resilience and build stronger connections with their peers. It was fantastic to see so many students step outside their comfort zones and attempt new activities. The giant swing and zipline were clear highlights, with students eagerly encouraging one another and celebrating each other's achievements. Camps provide valuable opportunities for personal growth, independence and teamwork, and we are incredibly proud of the way our students represented our school.
Our Foundation Learning Centre students also enjoyed a wonderful excursion to Twisted Science. Throughout the day, students participated in a range of engaging hands-on activities that sparked curiosity and excitement. The excursion provided many opportunities for students to explore scientific concepts through play, investigation and experimentation. It was wonderful to see students so actively involved in their learning while having fun at the same time.
As we head into the colder months and the school holidays approach in just a couple of weeks, it is important that we all take steps to stay healthy and well. Regular handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes and getting plenty of rest can help us stay well and reduce the spread of illness within our school community. We encourage families to ensure children come to school with their school jumpers ready for the winter weather.
Parent–Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 24 June. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to book an appointment with your child's teacher. These interviews provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's learning progress, celebrate achievements, gain insight into current learning goals and work together to support their continued growth and success at school.
