Student Voice - Heights Campus

SLC Camp

SLC camp was on the 3rd of June until the 5th of June. Springvale Heights and Springvale Campus both went together to Golden Valleys Adventure Park in Flinders. They had so much fun doing all of their awesome activities, and enjoyed all of their delicious food. A few interesting activities were the Leap of Faith, the Vertical Challenge and a very tall Giant Swing. Despite the rain, we managed to fit in five of the outdoor activities. Although the weather wasn’t always the nicest, the camp organisers still gave us some super fun indoor activities to do. Before we got to the camp all the SLC students went to Arthur's Seat Lookout and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. On the first night we had our annual Springvale Rise Talent Show. It was so amazing to see all the hidden talents that the students showed when they performed.

Division Cross Country

On Friday the 29th of May-Quyen, Kate and Esuen competed in the Division Cross Country against other districts who are near our school. They had outstanding results, trying their best to represent our school in this special event and we are so proud of them!

JLC Excursion

The JLC students from both campuses, went to watch a play called The Magic Pudding and this was at  Bunjil Place in Narre Warren. Students watched an opera show linked to the learning of how performances and art can bring stories to life. It also helped to teach students about different cultures. After the show, they visited a gallery and viewed cultural costumes and the stories behind them.

ES Day

ES Day was an amazing day for all Education Support Teachers. We made sure that they felt special and gave them wonderful cards and read them a great poem to show how grateful we are to always have them supporting us at school!

Reconciliation Week

All classes across the school promoted Reconciliation Week in a variety of ways. MLC students read a mentor text during Projects and then students did some learning about what Reconciliation means and the importance of the event. They created their own craft and games by using materials they have available from the land.

MLC students used material available to them such as wool and stitch to create a weaving design.
