School Fete
FETE UPDATE — MAY 2026
The Excitement is Building!
Things are really starting to take shape for our upcoming School Fete, and the energy from our incredible community has been absolutely wonderful to see!
Groups are forming, ideas are flowing, and our WhatsApp community is buzzing with creativity as we all work together to bring this special day to life. It truly takes a village!
What's Coming Together
Our fete committee met this week and have some exciting updates to share:
Stalls are shaping up beautifully — we'll have plants, books, toys, cakes, and cultural stalls on the day. If you have books or toys to donate, collections are underway now!
Entertainment is going to be something special. We're exploring farm animals, reptiles, a silent disco, tie-dye activities, kimono photos, and jazzy jars — with timed performances spread throughout the day so there's always something to see. Last year's African drumming, lion dance, Bollywood, choir, and taiko were highlights, and we're aiming to go even bigger this year.
Cultural experiences are a real point of difference for our fete. We're in conversation with local Japanese restaurants and grocers about bento boxes, sushi, and karaage, and exploring origami workshops and other cultural performances. Watch this space — it's going to be a truly memorable day.
We Still Need You!
While many roles are filling up beautifully, we are still looking for enthusiastic volunteer in one important areas:
Finance — helping manage the numbers behind the scenes so every dollar raised goes exactly where it should.
We're also on the lookout for a parent with DJ equipment and expertise who'd be willing to volunteer on the day. If that's you, please get in touch!
If any of these sound like your kind of thing, we'd love to hear from you. No experience necessary — just enthusiasm and a willingness to roll up your sleeves!
Many Hands Make Light Work
Whether you can offer your time, your skills, contacts for sponsorships or who might like a stall at the fete or products to donate or sell — there is a place for you at this fete.
Every single contribution, no matter how big or small, adds up to something truly magical for our children and our school community.
We are collecting donations and please give if you can.
We're also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run our games and event activities on the day — whether you're a natural at rallying a crowd, great with kids, or simply happy to get stuck in, there's a spot for you.
No special skills required — just a smile and a willingness to have fun alongside our students and families.
If you're able to spare a few hours, please reach out to the Parents and Friends Committee so we can match you with a role that suits you.
Every pair of hands makes a real difference, and we truly couldn't put on this event without the generosity of our wonderful school community.
