Grade 1 News

Our Grade 1 students have enthusiastically begun their new Inquiry unit, exploring the big question, "How do plants and animals help each other?" through their Reading and Writing lessons.

Throughout the unit, students have been building their comprehension skills by making thoughtful predictions and using evidence from texts to support their thinking. In Writing, they have been learning how adjectives make their sentences more descriptive and engaging, helping to paint vivid pictures for their readers.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity our students have shown as they explore the connections between plants and animals. Take a look at some of the wonderful learning and writing they have produced!
