Grade 6 Hooptime

Ready, Set, Hoop! 🏀

On Tuesday, 50 of our Grade 6 students proudly represented Berwick Chase at Hooptime. A day of round-robin basketball, teamwork and sportsmanship made for an AMAZING day! The excitement in the air was contagious as students met their coaches from Berwick Secondary College, who did a fantastic job supporting and encouraging our teams throughout the day.

Every student represented our school with pride, demonstrating teamwork, resilience and excellent sportsmanship. We could not be prouder of our Grade 6 basketballers!

Future Stars

Our Champions team set the pace, opening the day with a nail-biting win featuring great steals, incredible skills and our first three-pointer of the day! They kept the momentum going, winning two of their three games and narrowly missing out on second place on percentage alone.

The Chipmunks brought smiles, determination and resilience to every game. They celebrated one another's successes and let the Chaser spirit shine. Finishing second on the ladder, they progressed to the preliminary finals. A fantastic achievement.

Living up to their name, the Cheetahs used speedy drives and sneaky steals to dominate the court, securing second place in their division.

For the Chargers, defence was the name of the game. They applied constant pressure, communicated brilliantly and worked together to force turnover after turnover.

Rookies

The Bulldogs relied on teamwork and steady ball movement to work their way up and down the court, while the Boomers played every game with integrity, enthusiasm and a genuine love of basketball.

Both of our Rookie teams celebrated their wins, learnt from their losses and should be incredibly proud of the effort and determination they showed throughout the day.

All Stars

Last, but most definitely not least, were our All Star Girls. They were the undisputed champions of the day! A true force to be reckoned with, they dominated the court with outstanding teamwork, skill and determination. You would have thought they had been playing together for years.

The girls won every one of their games to finish first on the ladder before taking out the Grand Final in an exciting showdown, with the rest of Berwick Chase cheering them on from the sidelines.

What a day! Congratulations to every student who represented Berwick Chase. You should all be incredibly proud of your efforts, teamwork and sportsmanship. What a show!
